Johannes Georg Hofheintz

Johannes Georg Hofheintz was reportedly born in 1747 in Ritterhausen, Bavaria, Germany and died bet. 07 Jan 1823 (date of his will, found elsewhere on this site) and 27 Jun 1825 (date will was received by the court) in Saltlick Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. (It should be noted that, though his connection to these parents has yet to be proven, there is enough circumstantial evidence to list him here.) Johannes Georg married Anna Maria Unknown about 1780 in Germany. She was born about 1759 in Bavaria, Germany and died 23 Apr 1835 in Saltlick Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.

According to emigration records, Johannes Georg Hofheintz came to America aboard the ship "Brigatine Mary", arriving in the port of Philadelphia on 01 Oct 1789, along with his wife Anna Maria, son Jacop, and daughter, Anna Maria. He settled in Saltlick Township near his brother, Johann Jost, later known as Joseph. Though Joseph left Pennsylvania around 1802, records indicate that Georg and his immediate family remained in Saltlick Township until their deaths.
