I began researching my family almost a decade ago, and in the course of my research I have met many wonderful and interesting individuals with whom I share a common heritage. Some of my Huffines research has come by way of other individuals, so I cannot attest to the accuracy of all of this body of work. As with all genealogical endeavors, one should consult primary records where available. Where possible, and as time and other constraints have allowed, I have consulted primary documents, many of which will be made available on this website. Please be advised that this site is not intended as a definitive accounting of the Huffines family, but rather it is offered as a point of beginning for further research.
This site began primarily as a record of the Huffines family of Jackson County, Tennessee, as this is my primary area of research. However, over the course of the last two years, this site has evolved to include information on all branches of the family. This would not have been possible without the contributions from other researchers who had the foresight and the conviction to share their information. My sincere thanks to everyone who has helped make this site what it has become and to those who will contribute to its evolution in the future.
