Funeral services for Mrs. Versie Huffines McCue were held August 5 at the Huffines family cemetery in the Wartrace community of Jackson County with the Rev. Bronsletter of Decherd, minister of the Methodist Church officiating.

Mrs. McCue's death occurred August 3 at Madison hospital following an illness of many months.

She was the daughter of the late George W. and Verna Carver Huffines of the Wartrace community and a sister of the late Sam Huffines of Cookeville. She made her home near Red Boiling Springs.

Mrs. McCue is survived by her husband, Nathan J. McCue; a daughter, Mrs. Ova Hamilton of Detroit Michigan; two sons, Aurist Huffines of Wyoming and George Huffines of Old Hickory; three sisters, Mrs. Alvia Donohue; Mrs. Mundy of Jackson County, Mrs. Esky Donohue of Defeated Creek, Smith County and a brother Harley Huffines also of Jackson County.
