Of Hendersonville, passed away September 2, 1990. Interment was in Hermitage Memorial Garden with Rev James Daniel officiating.

Born July 12, 1917 in Jackson County to Bedford and Susie WILLIAMS HUFFINES. She was a former resident of the Bagdad Community of Jackson County. Survivors include her husband, Dewey Portefield and two daughters; Betty Gregory, Jacksonville, FL and Sue Sircy of Old Hickory, three grandchildren; Tim Sircy, Steve and Shawn Shephard and one sister Golden BROWN.
