The death angel came and took from us one we loved so well.

Tennie Huffines was born April 25, 1880 and departed this life June 23, 1927, leaving to mourn for her a husband, Harlie Huffines, one daughter, Mrs. Ara Draper; one son, Leslie Huffines; three brother, Bill, Ed, and Charlie Forkum; three sisters, Mrs. Clay Mosley, Mrs. Jim Forkum, and Mrs. W. B. Carver and five little grandchildren and a score of relatives and friends who will miss her. Funeral services were conducted by brother W. M. Dycus and her body laid to rest in the Wartrace Cemetery to await the final day. She professed faith in Christ in early life, she was saved by grace through faith, and kept by the power of God ready to be revealed in the last day when Jesus comes. My heart is made to believe that she was ready for death and believe she is resting, sweetly resting, where there is no sorrow nor death. Let's be reconciled to the Lord's will and cling closer to the cross and meet her again. Let every Christian who reads this pray for her dear boy who at the time of her death was in a far distant land.

Written by her sister-in-law.
