Drury Spraggs Huffines
Guardianship of Walton and Percy
Jackson County, Tennessee
Notes: This Guardianship arrangement came about after the death of Samuel G. Richardson, maternal grandfather of wards, in 1891. At Samuel’s death, Percy and Walton stood to inherit their deceased mother, Freedona A. Richardson Huffines’, portion of the sizeable estate. Walton Huffines was inadvertently called Walter in these proceedings, as he was in many other older records in which he appears. This record is located on Roll # 84, housed at the Tennessee State Library and Archives, Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, copies of which I currently have in my possession.
