The 1930 census is a newcomer to the available research material. Seventy-two years after it's enumeration, it was finally released to the public in April of 2002. Due to its relative newness, this census is still being evaluated by many researchers as to its ease of navigation, completion and accuracy of records, and standards of indexing. To date, only a small number of states / counties have been indexed and put into the Soundex format.
